Itai Typeface

Itai is a display font with three instances expressing the three stages of being for Itai Dzamara who Protested, was abducted by Zimbabwean state agents and then eventually disappeared! It’s a versatile typeface suited for bold headline titles, posters, book jackets, and more! It is part of the series of fonts designed for a project title Canonising events and activists through Typography. This an ongoing project of documenting events, movements and personalities in Zimbabwe through the creation of typefaces named after them.
